How to save big at the grocery store
A new study from NetCredit might just rescue your weekly budget. Researchers compared 171 everyday staples across Walmart, Target, and Kroger to see exactly how much you save by choosing store brands over big name brands.

The verdict? Ditching the famous labels can slash your receipt by over 50% on dozens of items. Here are the smartest swaps to make:

  • Sports Drinks: Save 74% on hydration drinks at Walmart.

  • Cereal: Save up to 69% on Froot Loops dupes and plain cornflakes.

  • Ketchup: Save 67% across all three major chains.

  • Milk & Tortilla Chips: Save roughly 60% on daily essentials.

Walmart offered the most savings across the board, so if you're brave enough to traverse the unhinged aisles of Wally World, your wallet will thank you.

Smash Burger Tacos: The internet recipe that’s actually worth making!

Every once in a while, a recipe takes over social media and I immediately roll my eyes.

This was not one of those recipes.

If you’ve never had a smash burger taco, imagine the best parts of taco night and burger night combined into one meal.

Spread a thin layer of ground beef directly onto a small flour tortilla. Place it meat-side down in a hot skillet and cook until the beef develops those crispy, caramelized edges that make smash burgers so good. Flip, add cheese, and cook for another minute until the tortilla is golden and the cheese is melted.

Top with shredded lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, burger sauce, or whatever your family likes. It's completely customizable! Add maple syrup if you want. It's your life!

I’ve made enough dinners to know that “fun” and “easy” don’t always show up together. This one manages to be both.

A few things that make it even easier:

Here’s a Question

Last week, we asked how close your actual family size landed to your original "pre-kid" plan. Claiming the top spot was, "We ended up with more than we bargained for" but it was closely followed by "Plan? We were supposed to plan this?"
