What's happening with the Hepatitis B vaccine?
A committee (hand selected by RFK Jr.) advising the CDC on vaccine policy voted to stop recommending that all newborns be vaccinated against hepatitis B in favor of delaying the vaccine to 2 months old, if at all.

This was a shock to the medical community, as this policy has been in place since 1991, and its effectiveness is clearly backed up by the numbers. In 1991, before the U.S. began vaccinating all infants against the infection, 18,000 children every year contracted the virus before their 10th birthday. 90% of that subset developed a chronic infection, which can lead to an early death.

Today? Fewer than 1,000 children contract the virus every year. That's a 95% drop.

For a deeper dive, check out this article, which includes further information from an actual pediatrician on how children are exposed to hepatitis B and how to prevent it.

Crispy Parmesan Crusted Salmon (ready in 15 minutes!!!)
Some nights call for a dinner that’s high reward and low drama. This salmon checks both boxes. It’s fast, it’s flavorful, and it makes you feel impressively put-together… even if the rest of the day was held together by dry shampoo and caffeine.

And the secret to making this with zero cleanup? Parchment. Lots of parchment. This is my favorite brand.

The Recipe:

Ingredients
• 4 salmon fillets (or one large side)
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• ½ cup grated Parmesan
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp paprika
• ½ tsp salt
• Black pepper
• Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions
1. Heat oven to 425°F and line a sheet pan with parchment (trust me — don’t skip this part).
2. Pat salmon dry and drizzle with a little olive oil.
3. In a small bowl, mix Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
4. Press the mixture evenly over the top of each salmon piece.
5. Roast 10–12 minutes, or until the top is golden and the salmon flakes easily. (Internal temp should register 125°F. This thermometer is outstanding.)
6. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Quick tip
If you want the topping extra crispy, turn the broiler on for the last 1–2 minutes. Just don’t walk away — the broiler has trust issues.

Here’s a Question

Last week, we asked "at what age should a child get a smartphone with internet capabilities?" and there was a tie for first place between 13-16 and 17-18. But 9-12 was a close third!
